The Arts Education Days 23–24 October 2025
The Arts Education Days is an inspiring and joyful meeting place for the arts education field and the culture sector. This year, the conference will be organised in Espoo at Aalto University and in Vindängen hall. Welcome!
The theme of the Arts Education Days 2025 is ‘Collaborate, Influence, Create’. How can we collaborate more between art subjects, sectors, generations, languages, municipalities and organisations? How can we strengthen the position of arts education and culture in our society? How can the arts education and culture sectors take action in difficult times and promote community building, joy, diversity and equality?
Programme
The conference features a versatile programme on nine different art forms and cultural issues. The programme consists of panel discussions, workshops, artistic performances, lectures as well as lunch, networking and a festive dinner. The programme will be held in Swedish, Finnish and English, with Swedish as the main language. In the programme schedule, you can find information in what languages each programme is held. We reserve the right to make changes or adjustments to the programme.

For whom?
The aim of the Arts Education Days is to inspire collaboration in the arts education field and culture sector and to enable peer support and networking. The conference is for everyone who is working with, or interested in, arts education and culture for children and young people such as:
- teachers and educators of various arts subjects
- managers and principals
- cultural workers and artists
- officials in municipalities
- subject teachers, class teachers and early childhood educators
- students and researchers
- organisations and authorities
Tickets for the conference
- Conference ticket for Thursday and Friday 23-24 October: € 110
The conference ticket includes the programme, lunch, refreshments and a three-course dinner on Thursday evening. - Ticket for Thursday 23 October with lunch and coffee: € 35
- Ticket for Friday 24 October with lunch and coffee: € 35
- Three-course dinner on Thursday 23 October: € 40
The payment of the conference ticket is made after the conference either via payment link or invoice. When registering, we kindly ask you to fill in the invoicing details of your educational institution, organisation or company. Please ask your employer for the invoicing details before you register. Participation in the conference is free for assistants.
Discounted tickets
We offer discounted tickets for freelancers, students and those who are unemployed or have a need for a discounted ticket. The discounted ticket is 25 euro for one day and 45 euro for two days. The discounted ticket includes the programme, lunch and coffee.
The three-course dinner on Thursday costs 40 euro for all participants. The dinner includes a three-course vegan menu (does not include drinks). Possible drinks will be paid at the restaurant. The dinner is organised at Bistro Ranta, Otaranta 2, 02150, Otaniemi.

- Obstacle-free entrance from Vindgränden. There are car parks near the entrance. Some of the car parks are designated for people with reduced mobility. The route to the entrance is barrier-free.
- A hearing loop has been installed in the Vindängen hall to improve the functioning of hearing aids. Here you can find a map of the audibility in the hall.
- There is an accessible toilet. The foyer with toilets, cloakroom and entrance to Vindängen hall is all on one level, with low thresholds.

- The parking areas at Aalto-university campus include a parking fee. Read more about the parking and the campus.
- The car park designated for people with reduced mobility is located outdoors more than 10 metres from the entrance. The width of the parking space is at least 3.6 metres. The pick-up and drop-off stop is located close to the entrance, in a place where it is easy to access the pavement.
- The route to the entrance is smooth, sufficiently wide and well-lit.
- The entrance is easily recognisable and illuminated. The doors at the entrance are easy to recognise. Outside the door there is sufficient free space to move around, e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with an opening button.
- The information desk is on the same level as the entrance. At the service point, there are signs to different premises. The doors at the service point are easily recognisable. The glass doors have contrasting markings.
- An accessible toilet is located next to the information desk.

- Väre's main entrance is accessible, the external door opens automatically with a button. The door does not have contrast stickers.
- The main lobby is spacious and well-lit, with sufficient free space both inside and outside the door for movement, e.g. with a wheelchair. The lobby service point and lifts are wheelchair accessible.

The closest parking spots reserved for people with reduced mobility are located at the intersection of Tekniikantie and Biologinkuja (3 spots) and at the parking area behind the A Bloc shopping centre (3 spots). The route from the parking spots to Väre is well lit, level and wide enough.

In the main lobby of Väre, there are two accessible toilets. From the main lobby, there is unobstructed access to the lift, which has floor buttons positioned at a height suitable for wheelchair users.

The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens automatically with an opening button.

For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold a wheelchair; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers.

The easiest way to book your room is online on the Radisson Blu website. You do not need to pay for the accomodation in advance, but you will need a bank or credit card to confirm the booking. Each participant is responsible for booking and paying their own accomodation. The person making the reservation is also responsible for any cancellation in accordance with the hotel's cancellation policy.
