Open call: Arts Education Days 23–24 October 2025

13.02.2025 kl. 06:15
Are you an art educator, cultural worker, artist, student or researcher in the field of cultural and art education for children and young people? Do you have a pedagogical method, artistic practice or research that you want to present during the Arts Education Days 2025?

The Arts Education Days is a conference, meeting place and celebration for the arts education sector and culture field in Finland. On 23–24 October 2025, the Arts Education Days will be organised in Espoo. The aim of the conference is to inspire collaboration and innovation in culture and arts education and to enable peer support and networking. The conference is for all working and interested in culture and arts education, such as teachers in art subjects, principals, cultural workers, early childhood educators, artists, researchers and students.

We are now looking for programme proposals for the Arts Education Days 2025. We are seeking interactive workshops or lectures that highlight contemporary pedagogical methods, artistic practices or research in arts and culture education for children and young people.

The interactive workshops or lectures may touch on one or more arts subjects, for example circus, visual arts, media arts, music, dance, theatre, crafts, literary art or architecture. The programme can be organised in Swedish, Finnish, English or in two languages.

The theme of this year's Arts Education Days is "Collaborate, Influence, Create". The theme can be used as inspiration or a starting point for your programme contribution.

The length of the interactive workshop or lecture should be 75 minutes. The target group is people in the arts education sector and culture field participating in the Arts Education Days 2025.

  • Conection to one or more of the following arts education disciplines: media arts, architecture, crafts, visual arts, music, literary art, dance, theatre or circus.

  • Practical and financial feasibility.

Fees and reimbursements

We pay a fee of 350 euro per programme number. We will pay fees as agreed and reimburse reasonable travel expenses within Finland for up to two people. We will reimburse accommodation in Espoo on 23-24 October 2025 for those who do not live in the Helsinki metropolitan area. In addition, we offer free participation in the Arts Education Days.
